Dr Leigh Faulkner is a native of Nova Scotia in Canada where he received his elementary and secondary education and initial teacher training, and where he was a teacher and school administrator. After his public school service, he taught at universities in Canada, Vietnam, and Japan. He holds a BA (in English and philosophy), a BEd, an MA (Ed) (curriculum development) and an EdD (reading education).
Dr Faulkner has carried out organisational and individual training needs assessments and designed and taught workplace education programmes. He has tutored public school and university students, as well as trades apprentices. He has been a member of the evaluation team for an official apprenticeship training video programme. He has also volunteered with a free English conversation programme for newcomers to Halifax in Canada.
He is the author of several volumes of poetry, study skills books and a number of online courses. With the onset of the global pandemic, he moved comfortably from face-to-face to remote video tutoring.
